Seriously my Mother,, my wife both mother in laws, my sisters, sisters in law, and even my ex girlfriend that I'm still close friends with. They all have like banded to together to make sure I never own a two wheeled motor vehicle. :(

And if you think the Honda 350 isn't cool have this, you can't tell me you don't like this.

Well they are dangerous. So are cars though. I saw enough fatal car accidents on my 75 mile commute to make me strongly consider a motorcycle for a while. I'm more worried about losing a limb on one or getting paralyzed than dying though.

I'd rather die than be paralyzed, or lose a limb, unless maybe it as my left arm, I guess I could handle that.

Anyway,I know they are dangerous, but so are a lot of things I find enjoyable, like annoying my wife, or parkour. You just have to decided if the enjoyment out weighs the risk. I think in this case, with a bit of self discipline, and the right gear, the fun factor far out weights the risk.

I agree with you there, I think gear is an important element many overlook and should be factored into crash data. Like how many Motorcycle deaths happened with little or no gear. Honestly if I lived in a southern state I'd probably push a lot harder for a motorcycle for the dd.

That is the other problem. Living in northern Wi, I'd really only get to use a bike 4, maaaaybe 5 months out of the year. and it'd probably be more like 3, since I'd get an old bike and it'd probably break down all the time.

I will now catch hell for what I will now say. 2 wheels are more fun than 4. Get a bike already!

You could always get a CCW bike. $3k with a Honda motor and a warranty.

Wes reviewed it twice for RideApart on Drive.

The only thing that would stop me from getting one of these and getting something else instead is probably a Honda CB300F

If that's what you're looking at then I'd consider taking a closer look at the CB300F if you consider a new bike. http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/h… It sits more upright than the CB300R and while it has a small motor it still makes decent power and is pretty light.

I don't know that DR-Z looks pretty fun. I've always thought a supermoto/ dual sport would be cool. I really don't know why I like the Seca II so much. I think maybe I need to get some experience ridding different styles of bikes before I buy something. The only thing I know for sure I want is a bike that is light and nimble. And Looks wise I prefer older looking, or "nude" bikes, more exposed metal, less faring.

Be careful what you get then. My buddy bought a dual sport thinking he was getting a good bike but he bought a KLR and it's a bit of a pig. Not that it's not capable but they are heavy and don't like to rev, so he said anyways. The Misfit is pretty damn light (233 lbs wet). The CB300F is a naked bike and it's pretty light too(348 lbs wet).

650. He said it was very torquey but did not like to rev. That said though he is 6'4" and closer to 400 than 300.

This explains it pretty well. 48hp for 450 lbs. If I get a dual sport I want something light and nimble.

this was something that I admited on the state your 2 most anti-jalop POVs.

2 wheels will ALWAYS, 100%, NEVER FAIL, be more then then 4. always. the sensation of leaning into turns and every single little movement that you do gets a reaction is AWESOME. as is the wind in your helmet.

that being said. if you are stupid about it, there is no faster way to get yourself killed, other then a gun maybe
